Questions and help

Short answers to what parents ask most. Can't find yours? Write to us.

Making a story

How long does a story take?
We write the story, draw every page and check it. You can follow it live or leave the page: we email you when it's ready. Sometimes a person from our team checks a story before you see it, which takes a little longer.
Are the stories and pictures made with AI?
Yes. The stories and the pictures are created with AI, following the steps and wording we set for each topic. Your child is the hero, and the story walks them calmly through their big day.
What do I get?
An illustrated story to read in the app, with read-aloud if you like, a PDF to keep, and an activity sheet for the topic, free with every story.
Can I see the story before I pay?
When free previews are open, you can see the cover and the first 2 pages of your own story for free. If you like it, one credit unlocks the rest: the words and pictures you saw stay the same.

Photos and privacy

Do I have to upload a photo?
No. You can describe how your child looks with a few simple choices. A photo is optional and only helps us draw your child.
What happens to my child's photo?
It is used only to draw your child and is then deleted automatically. It is never used for anything else: not to train AI, not for marketing, and never sold or shared for any other purpose.
Who can see my child's stories?
You, and only when we need to check a story or fix a problem, a few people on our team. Stories and pictures are kept private and open only through short-lived links.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. In Settings you can download all your data at any time, or delete your account. Deletion waits 30 days, in case you change your mind.

Credits and payment

What is a story credit?
One credit makes one personalised story. Credits stay valid for 24 months from the day you get them.
What if a story doesn't work out?
If we can't finish a story, your credit comes back to you automatically. If something in a finished story looks wrong, press "Something looks wrong?" under the story in My Library and tell us; we'll look at it.
Can I order a printed book?
Not yet. Printed books are coming later. Until then you can print the PDF at home.

Health and sensitive topics

How is information about health topics used?
For topics such as a doctor visit or a hospital stay, we ask your permission first. What you tell us is used only to write that story. Emails never name the topic.
Which situations are the stories not meant for?
Our stories are not made for separation or divorce, serious illness, or the death of someone in the family. These deserve more than a story: please talk to your family doctor, a child psychologist or a counsellor, who can support your child and you.
